• Repurposing: a decanter into a vase

My friend from The Nature Hogg and her husband came over for dinner on Friday night and brought me these daffodils from the garden.  I lack a simple vase for holding just a few flowers.  I did, however, discover that a decanter does a lovely job of showing off a few stems.  To me, this is an example of how we can repurpose items in our home instead of buying new.

    1. lovely.

    2. Looks perfect!
A daffodil is such an intricate flower that a simple vessel is the best to showcase it. If you think about those same floweras in cut crystal, the vase takes away from the flowers.

I also find that a tall beer glass does the trick too. I have some lovely greek-style beer glasses and it’s nice to use them for something else.

    3. Lovely!

    4. Glass containers are great for repurposing because a quick wash and they can be used for anything. I use them alot for storage of my bulk grains and spices. I even have old jars holding candles and old cups and mugs holding silverware.
