A fun way to stay organized and recycle packaging – reuse a kleenex box as a plastic bag holder.  Simply cut-out the plastic part and stuff your plastic grocery bags inside.  I did the same with an empty ziploc box for all my bread bags.  I recently ran out of my stash of ziplocs (we stocked up at a big loony sale at Price Chopper last spring) and now I’m trying to come up with a stand-in solution so I don’t have to buy new ones.  For now, I’m using bread bags and plastic vegetable bags.  The empty Ziploc container is useful to hold them all.  I love finding new things to do with packaging!

    1. Hi there-a really good idea, thanks for sharing!

    2. I agree. I stash plastic bags in there (from times when I’ve forgotten to bring my cloth bags & bins to the grocery store). They’re great for housing pens, pencils, pencil crayons(kids) by cutting a bit off the top. You buy them with decorative designs so why throw them out? Also, I’ve cut the top off and threw sos pads in there so I don’t have to look at the ugly no name box when I grab a new one. My daughter uses them to build houses and rooms for her “Littlest Pet Shop” toys. Great crafts and more.

    3. Wrapping for Xmas/Hanukkah presents!

Put the present inside, stuff the hole at the top with some coloured tissue paper. Works great, especially given the pretty boxes nowadays.

    4. Thanks for the tip!

    5. genius!
