Gone bananas!
Posted on November 3rd, 2008 3 commentsI learned a great money saving tip from Money Saving Mom recently: Buy discounted bananas when you’re planning on freezing them! I can’t believe I hadn’t thought of that one before. Usually about half of my bananas get put in the freezer and I use them for fruit shakes and for baking. So why pay full price?

I also purchase discounted fruit & veggies for freezing - bananas and peppers are favourites of mine. For fruits/veggies in the refrigerator - I make them stay fresh longer with those Debbie Meyer Green bags.
